  • What systems can be used for in-house fabrication?

    Amfit offers three pre-configured in-house setups: the Ultimate In-House Fabrication System (Contact Digitizer + Impress Scanner + CAD/CAM Mill), the Digitizer Fabrication System (Contact Digitizer + Mill), and the Impress Fabrication System (Impress Scanner + Mill). Pick the bundle that matches your capture method and patient volume.

  • How quickly can orthotics be produced in-house?

    With a full scan-to-mill setup, most practices fabricate and deliver custom orthotics the same day, often within one to two hours of capture. Turnaround depends on material selection, finishing requirements, and how many cases are scheduled.

  • What materials can be used with the Amfit mill?

    The Amfit CAD/CAM Mill supports high-density EVA blanks (Endurance, Firm, Soft, and Dual), Cork/EVA, and latex blends. Top covers include Spenco, X-Static, leather, leatherette, and more.

  • Can I mill positive molds for vacuum forming?

    Yes. The Amfit Mill can produce positive molds directly from Correct & Confirm files, which lets you vacuum-form a wide range of orthotic materials, including thermoplastics and composites, beyond what is milled directly from EVA.

  • Which setup is right for my practice?

    It depends on capture method, patient volume, and clinical scope. Practices with full pin-scan workflows usually start with the Digitizer Fabrication System; foam-impression-based practices favor the Impress system; high-volume or multi-method practices choose the Ultimate setup.
