Common Questions

We're here to help.

Find answers to common questions about our fabrication process and submission methods.

Talk to a Specialist
  • What scan or impression methods can be submitted?

We accept Amfit Contact Digitizer scans, Amfit Scan App captures from an iPhone or iPad, Impress Scanner files from foam impressions, and traditional foam impression boxes shipped to our facility. Send what works for your practice, and our team will route it into the production workflow.

  • What is the typical turnaround time?

EVA orthotics ship with 1-day turnaround, TSB diabetic inserts in 3 days, and rigid orthotics (Stealth carbon fiber and 3D Nylon) in 4 to 6 days. Transmitted foot scans received by 6:00AM PST ship same day for EVA orthotics, up to 15 pairs; remaining pairs ship the next business day.

  • What fabrication options are available?

EVA orthotics in multiple firmness levels, SADMERC-approved diabetic inserts, Carbon Fiber (Stealth), and 3D Nylon, plus Cork/EVA and top cover selections. Modifications, posting, and finishing are applied as specified in your order.

  • Can I reorder from an existing scan?

Yes. Scans submitted to Amfit are stored against the patient record so reorders can be processed without a new capture. You can request the same specifications or adjust modifications, material, and top cover on a per-order basis.

  • Can Amfit review the file before fabrication?

Yes. Every submission is reviewed in our patented Correct & Confirm software by Certified Pedorthists before fabrication begins. Alignment and structural integrity are evaluated, and our team will flag any issues with you before milling.

  • Can I change or cancel an order after sending the scan?

Yes, if the request is received in time. Modification or cancellation requests must be emailed to orders@amfit.com by 8:00AM PST; phone or voice messages are not accepted for cancellations. Cancellations or scans transmitted in error after that cutoff carry a material charge of $25 for EVA and diabetic inserts, or $50 for rigid orthotics.

  • Is rush service available?

Yes. Orders shipped earlier than the standard turnaround carry a $35 rush fee for EVA and diabetic orthotics, or $50 for rigid orthotics. Customer Service is available Monday through Friday, 7:30AM to 4:00PM PST at 800-356-3668 or orders@amfit.com.
